40 Years in the Making: Diamond and Emerald Earrings From Alexandra Mor
17.08.11
For four decades, Abe Mor of Abe Mor Diamond Corp . had
housed a striking pair of drop-shaped, vivid green emeralds weighing 53 cts. in
his safe, waiting for inspiration to strike, and for someone to create the
right design. That person came along when his son got married.
Enter Alexandra Mor , who launched her own jewelry design firm this month.
A matched set of 14 ct. t.w. fancy graduating-in-color diamond
flowers served as “a gift from my husband when I began designing,” Mor explains,
and upon receipt—no surprise—inspiration struck for the layout of the
finished earrings featured here. The diamond colors range from white to green
to grayish blue, and, peach to pink to yellow.
